Background
This client approached us to assist in the design of a kitchen, dining living area in an old military property that was in need of extensive renovation work. The existing kitchen was dark and separated from what was a great dining room by a wall with an old-fashioned serving hatch. The rear of the property was South facing however none of that light got through to the narrow kitchen area.
The client had concluded quite rightly in our opinion that the wall between the kitchen and ding area needed to go so that light from the rear of the property could flow into the kitchen/dining area. We were to incorporate their existing Arga cooker and also an existing American style fridge freezer whilst creating a clean and bright solution incorporating useable work surfaces and breakfast bar area. We were also asked to create a solution for their mixer machine so that it could be hidden but
used easily when required. Lastly we were to advise on flooring and lighting solutions along with working with the appointed builders to create a light and welcoming space.

Our Solution
Our approach was to create a design that would maximise the space available whilst at the same time creating a light and welcoming space. We were to incorporate the clients current appliances and give them a fabulous entertaining space for family and friends. The furniture was to be of a light finish and handless in design.

End Result
The end result has met all the clients needs and now they have a bright and airy kitchen diner which is family friendly and great for entertaining.
